Weather Events Guide
Weather plays a massive role in Catch And Tame. Playing during the right weather can increase your luck, make animals easier to catch, unlock rare mutations, and spawn exclusive creatures.
☀️ Sunny (Default)
Effect: The standard state of the game.
No bonuses, no special spawns, and no mutations. Experienced players usually wait for better conditions.
🌧️ Rainy Weather
Bonus: +25% Luck boost and animals are 25% easier to tame.
Spawns: Increases the chance for Large animals and Mutations. Turtles can specifically spawn during rain.
Strategy: Use Rain Totems when you find an animal that is slightly too strong for your current lasso.
⛈️ Thunderstorm
Effect: Animals are 25% easier to catch, and you gain +25 Luck. Animals can gain the Shock/Charged Mutation.
Spawns: High chance for mutations and the rare Lightning Dragon may appear.
Tip: Always wait for a Thunderstorm if you are trying to complete your mutation index.
🌪️ Sandstorm
Spawns: Focused on desert creatures. Camels spawn across the map, and there is a rare chance for the mythical Griffin to appear.
Look for the Ancient Mythical, Titan Camel, and Basilisk during sandstorms.
🌌 Cosmic Weather
Bonus: Meteors fall from the sky and drop Cosmic Fruits. Animals can gain the Cosmic Mutation.
Spawns: The legendary Cosmic Griffin may spawn. This is one of the most valuable events.
Rarity: Cosmic Totems have only a 2% drop rate from the shop.
🌠 Aurora Borealis
Bonus: A massive 300% Luck boost. It also increases mutation chances and makes animals much easier to catch (+50% catching ease).
Best for luck farming and catching Mythical animals.
Strategy: Save your Aurora Totems for a 10-minute hardcore grinding session to fill your pen with Legendaries.
❄️ Blizzard & Snowy Weather
Blizzard: Introduces frozen-themed creatures and the Frozen Mutation.
Snowy: Spawns Christmas-themed animals and provides a 1.5x Candy bonus during seasonal events.
Weather Totems: How to Trigger Events
If you don't want to wait for random weather changes (which last about 10 minutes), you can use Totems to force a specific state.
How to Get Totems
- Daily Rewards: Claim them on Day 5 and Day 7 of your login streak
- Exclusive Shop: You can roll for totems in the shop with the following probabilities:
- Rain Totem: 50% chance
- Thunderstorm Totem: 35% chance
- Sandstorm Totem: 10% chance
- Aurora Totem: 3% chance
- Cosmic Totem: 2% chance
Pro Tip: Save rare totems (Aurora or Cosmic) when you are prepared to farm heavily, as their drop rates are extremely low.
Weather Strategy Tips
- Save Rare Totems: Only use Aurora or Cosmic totems when you are prepared to farm heavily
- Mutation Hunting: Always wait for a Thunderstorm or Cosmic event if you are trying to complete your mutation index
- Luck Stacking: Combine the Aurora Borealis (300% luck) with other server boosts for the best chance at catching Mythicals
- Rain for Difficult Catches: Use Rain Totems when you find an animal that is slightly too strong for your current lasso
- Weather Duration: Weather events typically last about 10 minutes
